We would love it if it was possible to have a calendar that is Customer facing on the Customer Portal so that we could add in when there was going to be Planned Outages of certain systems so that the Customer's could have a place to check to see if their issue was in relation to the planned outage or if it was a unplanned outage e.g. Major Incident that was occuring.
To make it more transparent.
Thanks for the feedback and outlining the high level requirements.
Seconded - A customer facing 'upcoming events / outages' type of calendar would make a huge dent in comms to customers. Even if the current Forward Schedule could be published, with certain changes hidden from customers (non-vFire Analysts) so that they're not flooded with every single IT change.
The Add Me button is great, but we need to control visibility - Not all of our customers are comfortable with other clients (on the same partition) seeing their major incident.
Hi David,
Yes but we would like to have a calendar for Planned Outages that are vendor changes and do not go through our change process and occur the same time either every week or month. Also not all Changes affect the Customer nor make any sense to the Customer so we only want to be able to put up ones that are applicable to the customer themselves. While the Add Me Function is good there is no way of filtering so that only certain agencies see certain Major Incidents. If we had a calendar we would be able to show what the customer needed to see and filter what we added to this.
There are 2 features in the portal already that may help:
The Forward Schedule of Change to view Planned Outages http://alemba.help/help/content/vss%20help/vss%20view%20fwd%20schedule.htm
The Add Me to Major Incidents Widget http://alemba.help/help/content/topics/release%20notes/rn%209.4/rn%20vfire%20core%209.4.0%20new%20features%20and%20changes.htm#Add
Would these help at all?
