The Search currently allowed in Portal is VERY limited with only the ability to search in a narrow scope (open, closed less than 1 week, closed less than 4 weeks), and offers no ability to search past that even if the number is known. Simply providing a feature like a date range picker, that would allow the user to search for any type (open/closed) within a date range would help tremendously. In addition, optionally searching for submission by user, organization (like currently allowed) in addition to date range would be nice. Other options for search customization like ability to search by certain fields or searching everything (the user has access to) for certain text would broaden the ability of the user without having to require someone with Core access to create reports and provide those (currently the only known workaround, and not very practical when they are just trying to find a related ticket/request to use for a new submission).
We have recently been asked for this too (just logged a new feature suggestion wihout seeing this one sorry!)
This has been suggested many times recently by our customers to have this ability due to various reasons e.g. they often need to refer to old requests to check what access had been granted to users at any given time; search for jobs of old issues that may have reoccurred; find information for historical records/project; etc. This would be very beneficial for our customers and analysts, as customers have to call to request for this information instead and takes up more admin time going through all the tickets with the customer.
This has now been reviewed by the Product Management Team and will monitor the number of votes this suggestion gets with other customers.
