The ability to create a source in the integration using an API connector. It would allow you to define endpoints, auth, methods etc
It would then be available from the run external task (in the workflow designer) to dynamically construct the API call from fields in the Request Workflow itself. Results can be then captured and make use in the workflow to achieve automation via integration to 3rd party apps.

If you have VMware in your environment then you can do this via vRealize Orchestrator (vRO) ie vFire uses Outbound Actions to call vRO, which then uses its REST plug-in to connect to the 3rd party app. It's an extra hop along the way but it does work.
