Customer have another customisation they have developed for the portal which again, I think we could improve upon to provide benefit to the product. They require this replicating to be able to roll out vFire in their environment. The customisation is a custom drop down field which have a SQL script to populate the values. To put this into standard product I propose an enhancement to the designer in VSM to allow custom SQL queries to be used. How I see this working is a different field type when creating a new field called somthing like "Custom search". When creating the field the customer has an option to choose if the field is displayed as a QD or drop down and there is an option to specify a SQL script. The value selected could be written in plain text in the custom_sting column. Any questions, please let me know. Thanks, Chris
