As our directorate is implementing KCS methodology, the ability to customise and re-work the views in which vFire Officers capture information in Knowledge Articles would be great. For example, a key component of any Knowledge Article in KCS is 'Environment', however as the Knowledge module falls outside of the 'Designer' tool's scope, we are currently not able to capture this information in a text field (without applying our own sub-headings manually) that would display to anyone viewing the article.
Being able to 'Design' Knowledge Articles would make for a smoother KCS implementation and a richer experience for both officers in vFire and also customers viewing the content on the vFire Portal.
I received confirmation that this feature would not be included in the next major releases (v10). We still cling to hope...
I agree with Grayden & Peter - This sort of thing should have been day 1 functionality. I don't know what Pink Verify were looking at, but the fact that I have vFire Officers as 'Read Only' users of the Knowledge Bank that can't see fields I create on templates (they can't access the review/edit screens) is a massive issue that's holding us back from a lot of good self-service & shift left opportunities.
We can customize a knowledge article template, yet can't view those customizations. Seems like basic functionality which should have been part of the core product from day 1. Needs to be prioritize, or the knowledge article functionality cannot be used.
+1 from me. We have just created a "Support Plan" knowledge article template that lets us input fields in edit mode that we added in desginer. Being able to see this information from the knowledge article view would be very helpful.
