Shorter Dates in date field columns

Can we use a shorter date format for the date columns?
Using the long format takes up too much space.

It looks nice, but is not very practical.

Better formats could be dd Mon YY HH:MM ( e.g. 6 Oct 20 09:00), DD-MON-YY HH:MM (e.g. 06-OCT-20 09:00) or DD/MM/YY HH:MM (06/10/20 09:00)?

We will be looking to improve the Grids in ASM in 10.7 and this has been added to the set of requirements for that feature.

Including the full year in the above example would be very helpful (e.g. 06-OCT-2022).
