It would be handy to be able to add a menu option to the My Options menu that allows you to display a specific portal display category. This works, but will only display the items in that category that have been promoted. If the item has not been promoted - it does not display.

There shouldn't be a link between what is in a specific portal display category and what is promoted. If you create a link to show a specific portal display category on the my options menu - it should show ALL available items, not just the ones that have been promoted.
