I've seen multiple individuals go to the trouble of creating a request, building the workflow and flushing out each of the tasks - carefully clicking save at the top of the workflow screen throughout the process - only to lose everything they have done because they didn't click save from the request screen.
The save button on the workflow screen should save the request too. Or...the save button should be eliminated from the toolbar on the workflow screen and the changes saved automatically. It gives the workflow designer a false sense of security - they think the workflow and all of the tasks are saved - but the work disappears and they have to do it all over again.
I've seen this impact new developers and experienced developers too.
