To be able to limit the Call Types and Services based on the Config Item or Config Item Type selected, and this would then potentially minimise the amount of incorrect data logged by the Service Desk.
In this way when a call is logged for a specific Config Item, you'll only be allowed to select Services and Call Types linked to that Config Item.
E.g.
Config Item: MC_Laptop
Type: Software -> Outlook
Service: Email
None of these above values should be available when you log a call for a Server that runs SQL, and vice-versa.
It should have its own set of available options. (as below)
Config Item: SQL01_Server
Type: Software -> MSSQL
Service: Databases
We would find benefit of a similar feature, where the options available in one field is is limited based on the entry in another field.
