This would be very helpful when reviewing a screen someone else had created - you could see the field type from the screen (is it text or numeric?)  This would make it easier to debug.

Plus - when you are adding a new field that exists in other screens - you see the field names - adding the type there would be extremely useful too.  That way you wouldn't select the wrong field.
