knowledge article on how to correctly set up SSL

I'm looking for a knowledge article on how to correctly set up SSL (https:) when using VSM and IE 11. I've searched both the Alemba support database and kb.vmware.com and found nothing really. ADM tried to set this up according to instructions, but hit an odd error where remote users could only enter 1 ticket in VSM before being disallowed.
