We need the ability to automate contract management both by enhancing the Expiry Notifications page and capability and by adding contracts to the Manage CMDB task. For example,

1. The contract status cannot be changed automatically based on defined parameters. Currently, we can set an expiry notification on the contract, but cannot change the contracts status on expiry.

2. Hypothetical scenario: 60 days before expiry - set status to Renewal Due/Renewal workflow completion, Manage CMDB task should be able to update state to Renewal sent and update any other fields, link attachments, etc./ Expiry elapses, status set to Expired.

3. When Workflow is used to perform procurement and the result is a contract new, update, or cancellation, the workflow is not able to perform these actions, and so all of the data captured through workflow and task completions, has to be manually entered into the contract.

When the status changes can be automated, we are then able to begin using contract management proactively.
